Moldova to hold protests

- The demonstrations in Moldova to stop the current regime. In the capital Chisinau on Sunday some 40 thousand people protested. The protesters are demanding early elections.

Chisinau is already days the scene of demonstrations that go partly accompanied by violence.

The impoverished country between Romania and Ukraine is since October of a deep political crisis. A major corruption scandal, with about a billion dollars disappeared from the three largest banks, took then prime minister Valeriu Strelet the head.

The new prime minister of the former Soviet republic was minister in the previous cabinet. He is regarded as pro-European.
