guangxi - A missing toddler of 1.5 years old, after five days without food and drink, is found alive in a forest in the south of China. The toddler had gone into the forest on her own and a day later her father gave her up as missing.

The 20-month-old girl named Xiaojiao was found in the forest last weekend by an employee of the local power plant. She was lying on the ground at the edge of a river between the trees. This is how the Daily Mail reports.

The girl was playing on the day of her disappearance with her big brother (6) and sister (4), when she walked into the woods alone in an unguarded moment.

The police started a large-scale search the next day, involving a total of 700 people. Five days later the girl was recovered alive.

The toddler was immediately transferred to the hospital after her discovery. She was suffering from dehydration and sat under the insect bites. Doctors speak of a miracle. Presumably the girl drank rainwater to quench her thirst.
