Military exercises in North Korea

seoul - The North Korean army is 85 years old, reason for extensive military exercises in Wŏnsan on the east coast, according to Yonhap South Korean press office Tuesday.

The South Korean Ministry of Defense could not confirm whether there are indeed exercises in the neighboring country.

The tension in the area has risen in recent weeks. Pyongyang has regularly run threatened attacks on foreign targets.
