- An Australian soldier is two months in jail because of the aggravated assault of a couscous. The 23-year-old man would have caught the marsupial into a barracks by the tail and thrown to the floor, Australian media reported Tuesday.

The soldier had bragged on social media about the mistreatment of the couscous. He sent via instant snap pictures of the bloody animal to some friends. The marsupial was later flights. It is unclear whether it is still alive.

The lawyer of the man had called for a hefty fine, but turned right to feel anything. The magistrate said the soldier's behavior senseless and cruel and said they want to set an example. The 23-year-old offender must therefore serve his full sentence.

According to Australian media is probably one of the toughest punishment ever handed out in Queensland for animal cruelty. The military has offered through his lawyer excuses.,, He himself, his family and his employer disgraced, '' said the lawyer.
