Microsoft announces Slack competitor

- Microsoft competes with Slack with the new service teams. That tech company announced Wednesday during a presentation in New York. Teams is a chat-based collaboration tool that is integrated into Office 365.

Besides integration with Office Services as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, Microsoft Teams also close links with Skype. Some other services that are not from Microsoft, can also be used by teams.

Slack Microsoft called earlier Wednesday welcomed by a full-page ad in the New York Times. It explains the company from that in Microsoft's entry into the market will see a confirmation of the vision of Slack. Simultaneously Slack Microsoft warns that a good service is essential and that it will have to open its service to third party services. Slack also says that it enters into full competition.

Last month, Facebook released its business service Workplace already on the market. That service functions more like an intranet than an instant messaging service.
