berlin - German Chancellor Angela Merkel had to interrupt her trip to Buenos Aires for the G20 summit on Thursday evening. After an hour of flying the pilot found technical problems with the Airbus over Dutch territory. Some electrical systems fell out. The aircraft turned and made a stopover in Cologne to allow the passengers to transfer to another aircraft.

Merkel was in the company of, among others, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz. On board were as usual several journalists. It is not yet known when the German delegation can continue the journey to Argentina.
