madrid - Men in Madrid noticed. If you go by bus, you have to keep your legs together. The Spanish town has started a campaign to combat 'manspread'. This is respectful of the other bus passengers.
In the Spanish buses, signs are hung to ensure that men stay neatly in one chair and so keep their legs together. For this, a special board was even designed.
'The mission is to ensure that everybody behaves in the bus and respects personal space,' according to Madrid's local transport company. 'Also in other places in the world attention is being paid to body postures where others are not waiting. 'Among other things, in New York and Seattle, passengers are alerted to their posture.
