Memorial service Sunday in Münster cathedral

munster - After the deadly attack in the German city of Münster, a memorial service will take place in the Paulus-Dom on Sunday evening. The bishop of Münster, Felix Genn, leads the ecumenical service, which starts at 7:30 pm, the spokesperson for the diocese said.

A man was driven into a group of people on a terrace in the city center on Saturday with a van. Two people were killed. The perpetrator shot himself dead in the vehicle.

The attacker is reportedly a 48-year-old German. For the time being, the police exclude a terrorist background.
