Megasucation university with victims sex physician

east lansing - Michigan State University has reached a settlement with the victims of sports doctor Larry Nassar, who for years has been guilty of sexual abuse of often young girls. The lawyers of both parties announced on Wednesday that they had reached an agreement in principle on payment of 500 million dollars (almost 425 million euros) in damages from the university.

According to the agreed arrangement, 425 million dollars goes to the 332 victims who have filed a lawsuit so far. The university will set aside the remaining 75 million in a fund for women and girls who will file a further indictment against Nassar in the future.

Nassar was attached to Michigan State but also worked as a trainer and later a team doctor for the American gymnastics team. In that position he became a member of many gymnasts, including Olympic champions. He is in prison for the rest of his life because of his misdeeds.
