Medal for Iranians stopped US Navy

tehran - Five Iranian naval officers have received high awards because they had stopped recently two American patrol boats. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the country, presented the so-called Victory Medal at the head of the Navy of the Revolutionary Guards and four commanders who were involved in the action itself.

The boats of the US Navy were in mid-January by the Iranians seized in Iranian waters. Ten passengers were trapped on board. The incident came at a precarious moment: shortly before the appointments would take effect from the nuclear agreement between Iran and several world powers. After one day, the sky was cleared of Iran stated that the Americans had accidentally sailed into the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic.
