new orleans - The Mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu, commissioned Friday for evacuation of people in some parts of the city and also set an evening bell. He made those decisions because of the approach of tropical storm Nate. It is expected to grow up over the Gulf of Mexico into a hurricane before landing in the south of the USA.
The evening bell is in effect on Saturday night. The states of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi have declared the state of emergency. Nate caused Central America to cause major flooding and landslides with 22 deaths.
