Massive protest against bullfighting ban India

chennai - Thousands of people have taken to the streets in southern India to protest against a ban on traditional bull run.

Since Tuesday evening bivouac sure 4000 people on the beach in the capital of the region, Chennai. All ages are organized bull run (Jallikattu) in the area but after protests from animal organizations has recently decided to ban the tradition.

According to the BBC are also held in other parts of the region similar protests against the ban. Well-known film actors, including Vijay, GV Prakash Kumar and Suriya support the protests.

At Jallkattu, which will be held to intervene during the harvest festival in January, thousands of men seek prices that are fastened to the horns of a bull unleashed. According to the protesters makes the bull run is part of the local culture and identity. They see the ban as a direct attack on the traditions of the region. Animal activists believe that there is 'cruel animal abuse.
