Masses of Google Gadgets

- Tech giant Google has announced a whole range of new gadgets at an event in San Francisco. It is about new smartphones, a voice home assistant, a new version of the Chromecast and a new router.

Where Google in the past along with hardware manufacturers made the Nexus phones, it now has taken matters into their own hands. The two pixel devices have been announced, only contain the Google brand name.

Pixel and Pixel XL are apart from the size and resolution of the screen- or 5-inch 1080p and 5,5inch with 2K- right. Both include a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of storage memory and both have a 12 megapixel camera on the back.

The company states that the pixel devices are the first phones built with Google Assistant. This is an advanced version of the speech which the company had already built into earlier versions of Android.

Pixel Pixel XL and start in price in the US at $ 649. A specific launch date is still unknown.

In the field of VR Google announced its own glasses, named Daydream View. The gadget is made of fabric and therefore very light. Users can manage a phone and use it as a screen. The view comes with a special motion controller to navigate through menus.\n  \n  \n   advertisement

The Google Home is the tech giant directly compete with Amazon and its Echo. The device is a speaker that works only on voice commands. Allowing users to directly ask a question 'Google', then it is doing its best to provide an answer. For this, it uses the Google Assistant technology is also incorporated into Android.

It is also possible to connect the device to compatible smart apparten in the household, so that for example, the thermostat can be controlled by voice.

Google Home does not currently have in the Netherlands, but costs the United States $ 129.

Google's Chromecast media player has been updated. Chromecast Ultra is still a pretty simple gadget- plug it into an HDMI port on your TV and stream then from a phone or tablet video or audio to the big screen- but now also supports video in 4K resolution HDR images. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and TVs that support the technology, can display colors faithfully.

Chromecast Ultra will cost € 79.

Last year, Google launched its first own router, which made it with producer TP-Link. This OnHub had to make it easy to manage your own home network.

Now the company has unveiled a new router, the Google WiFi. This may cooperate with three other hubs to work together to create a complete coverage network.
