Man shot during Facebook Live

washington - An American was shot dead while sending images of himself directly via Facebook Live. Prentis Robinson filmed himself using a selfie stick when the fatal shots were fired, reports The Washington Post.

The video footage of the victim shows that he was walking across the street in Wingate (North Carolina) just before his death. There, suddenly, a man with a long object approached. Robinson seemed to startle and said he was filming. 'You are live', said the 55-year-old man repeatedly. Shots then followed, and the camera fell to the ground.

Robinson died on the spot from his injuries. The police now have a 60-year-old suspect in custody. The victim often opened a book on social media about conflicts in the neighborhood, neighbors said to a local television channel. It is still unclear whether that has anything to do with the deadly shooting.
