Man saves 86-year-old from water at Amsterdam CS

amsterdam - A 36-year-old Haarlemmer saved an elderly tourist from the water behind the Central Station in Amsterdam. The man from Haarlem saw the 86-year-old tourist take pictures on Wednesday afternoon. When he suddenly heard a splash he did not hesitate for a moment and followed the old man.

With the help of bystanders, the two could be removed from the water. The 86-year-old was taken to the hospital with an ambulance. The police brought the savior to his home in Haarlem.
