Man indicted for Gay Pride

- The 20-year-old man who was last weekend heavily armed on the way to the Gay Pride festival in Los Angeles on Tuesday charged with illegal possession of an assault weapon and explosives, said a prosecutor.

James Wesley Howell from Indiana was arrested Sunday morning in the city of Santa Monica. Authorities said there was no link with the deadly shooting at a gay club in Orlando, Florida.

He was arrested after agents saw him in his car seat with three guns, a large amount of warehouses and a bucket with chemicals which could be used to create an explosive.

The Federal Police FBI said police had carried out a search at the home of Howell, as part of a joint investigation with the local authorities.
