Man climbs on wall Buckingham Palace

london - A man was arrested on the grounds of Buckingham Palace after he had climbed over the wall of the working palace of Queen Elizabeth.

Police reported Thursday that the 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night, seven minutes after he triggered an alarm.

It is unclear whether Elizabeth or one of her relatives in the palace in London at the time that the intruder was on the premises. The nonagenarian queen had earlier in the day returned to the palace, after she had read the throne speech in parliament.

The last time someone A man with a knife illegally came to the palace grounds was in October 2013, then tried to get through one of the gates.

The worst security incident in the palace happened in 1982. Michael Fagan climbed up against a wall and ended up in a room where the Queen lay in bed.
