strasbourg - The EU should make a deal like migration with Turkey to stem the flow of refugees from North Africa. The Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat put such an agreement as a brake on large numbers of boat people which according to him this spring can be expected over the central Mediterranean.

He said this Wednesday in the European Parliament in Strasbourg where he presented his plans for the EU presidency that Malta has acquired in January of Slovakia for six months. Since Turkey deal is the number of refugees has decreased dramatically over the eastern Mediterranean.

Malta has for years faced with thousands of refugees, mainly from Libya. Therefore, there will be an asylum agency be set up in Malta, promised the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker. There will determine which applicants make a serious chance to be authorized in the EU and which are returned.
