Male (82) looking for food in garbage: 200 euro fine

munich - A 82-year-old man was convicted in Bavaria to 200 euro fine because he was looking for food in the garbage can of a supermarket. German media reported Friday that the court followed the prosecution in sentencing because of their trespassing, because the elderly often has caused inconvenience.

The case came to light when the man at a grocery store in the town of Neumarkt-Sankt-Veith in the container was looking for something to eat. The store manager found that disturbing and retired police because of trespassing and theft.

According to the lawyer of the sentenced men since the divorce from his wife in a downward spiral ended and he has no more than 300 euros per month income and therefore no money for the fine. But the judge ruled that that can be paid in installments.
