Malaysia maintains IS sympathizers to

- Authorities in Malaysia have arrested fourteen men on suspicion of links with and support to the terrorists of the Islamic State. One of the suspects is found to be an aircraft engineer.

The engineer works for a private company near the capital Kuala Lumpur, a spokeswoman for the police announced Sunday it. This suspect and five others are accused of spreading radical Islamic ideology. The others would have raised funds for IS in Syria and Iraq have recruited members for the terrorist organization.

An estimated two-thirds of the thirty million people in Malaysia are Muslims. The authorities in the country estimate that about a hundred people have joined IS. The past three years, the police arrested 193 suspected sympathizers of IS in Malaysia.
