Maker of Johnnie Walker gets new chairman

- Javier Ferran will start working from next year as the new chairman at the board of Diageo, including the famous whiskey brand Johnnie Walker producer.

Ferran will take over the baton of Franz Hummer chair at Diageo which takes a step back because of his age, reports The Financial Times.

The Spaniard who is currently a partner of an investment group, has extensive experience in the liquor as former CEO of Bacardi rumproducent.

The upcoming appointment of Ferran made little impression on investors. The Diageo shares lost 1%.
