Louvre Wednesday reopened

- The Louvre, one of the most famous museums in the world, Wednesday reopens to visitors. This was announced by the Louvre Tuesday. The Paris museum was closed last week due to extremely high water in the Seine. The doors remained closed to secure works of art from the basement.
Not just the Louvre, but also the art historical Musee d'Orsay is open to the public again. The Louvre said that as far as is known there is no water in the basement is flooded.
Seine reached last week, its highest level in thirty years. Since the weekend the water decreases. Extreme weather conditions in France cost four lives. More than 20 000 people had to leave their homes.
