London police investigate gorillaroof hotel

london - Thieves have stolen a large gorilla statue from a luxury hotel in London. The two perpetrators unscrewed the image under the nose of a witness. They then switched on helpful construction workers to get the picture down, says the owner of the hotel against British media.

The 160 kilos heavy statue was on the roof of the Karma Sanctum Hotel, where there is a bar. According to owner Mark Fuller, the 1,8 meter high object had a value of more than 20,000 pounds (about 23,000 euro). He speaks of a 'brutal' robbery and says he wants to return the gorilla, which is called Ace. 'He is dear to us. '
