London is going to do more for Calais migrants

london - Britain is going to make greater efforts to tackle the problem with refugees around the French port of Calais. The country will, among other things, speed up the procedures to allow people who have the right to do so.

The agreement is part of a broader agreement signed by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May on Thursday at the 35th Anglo-French bilateral summit in the Sandhurst military academy south-west of London.

Although the large refugee camp in Calais has been evacuated for some time, many asylum seekers still want to go to Great Britain. London will continue to pay more money for securing transport routes and border surveillance in Calais.

The agreement also contains agreements on defense, security and cultural exchanges. For example, for the first time in 950 years, France will lend the famous Bayeux carpet to Great Britain. When that happens, it has not yet been recorded, but that will be in any case after 2020.
