Lifetime Indian group rapists

- Five Indian men Friday by a court in New Delhi sentenced to life imprisonment for the gang rape of a Danish tourist in 2014. They had the 52-year-old woman took when they make their way early in the center of the tourist district in New Delhi.

The woman walked through the narrow streets of the neighborhood where many backpackers stay, when they asked the five men to her hotel to the road. The five, all in their twenties, took the woman to a secluded spot near the New Delhi railway station and raped and robbed her under threat of a knife.

Altogether, nine suspects were accused of looting and rape. Three minors are tried by another court and another one is now deceased.

The country was shaken in 2012 with regard to violence against women by the fatal gang rape of a student on a bus in New Delhi.
