Lifelong for members 'GTA gang' Moscow

moscow - A Russian court sentenced four members of an extremely violent gang to life-long prison sentences. The gang members terrorized the roads around Moscow for years, where they committed seventeen murders. A fifth man is sentenced to 20 years in prison, reports Russian media.

The group is known as 'GTA gang', after the video game of the same name. The criminals forced motorists to stop in order to plunder the vehicles. The court ruled that the men were guilty of, among other things, murders, attempts at murder and robberies.

The process was accompanied by strict security measures, because several gang members had previously attempted to escape. They grabbed the firearms of their guards in the elevator of a court. Then there was a gunfight in which three suspects were killed. Several people also suffered gunshot wounds.
