amsterdam - Supermarket chain Lidl will sell cannabis.
In different branches in Switzerland, you can now also get a package of cannabis from the tobacco products. It is a kind of 'light version', the effect is relaxing rather intoxicating. That reports The Guardian.
Entirely in style of the chain, the packages are sold at 'Lidl prices': for 1.5 grams you pay 15 euros.
The cannabis comes from the company The Botanicals from Thurgau, which only uses locally grown plants. It contains only a limited amount of THC, but a lot of cannabidiol, which would have a relaxing effect.
Since a law change in 2011, it has been legal for adults in Switzerland to buy cannabis with less than 1 percent THC.
