Lawyers El Chapo is innocent

new york - Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, who was extradited from Mexico to the US, has said his innocence. He was asked by the US Justice indicted in seventeen cases, it was announced Friday.

Mexico announced on Thursday that Guzmán was extradited to the US America all times trying to get their hands on the drug lord. US accused Guzmán of murder, drug trafficking, organized crime and money laundering. The lawyers of the drug lord tried unsuccessfully to avoid extradition.

The lawyers argued that Guzmán can not be extradited because he could face the death penalty in Texas. The US has already promised that the drug lord will not be put to death.

In 2015 knew the world's most powerful drug trafficker to escape from a prison in Mexico City via more than one kilometer long tunnel. Last January, he was again arrested after a huge manhunt.
