KOUROU (ANP / DPA)- The launch of an Ariane 5 rocket from the Kourou space base in French Guiana has failed on Tuesday. In the last seconds of the launch the rocket stopped.

During the countdown, the safety systems detected a deviation. As a result, the launch was canceled at the last moment. The cause of the defect is being investigated.

The rocket had to bring two satellite telecommunications satellites into space. One for the Luxembourg company Intelsat and one for the Japanese B-SAT. A new launch date is being tricked. The rocket must be ready first.
