canberra - Australians now have to leave their country if they want to see an African elephant in the flesh. The last of the huge animals on the island is deceased in a zoo in Dubbo (New South Wales), Post ABC News.

Elephant Cuddles was estimated at 46 years old and the oldest resident of the zoo. She struggled for a time with her health. She had, according to the zoo suffered from problems with her digestive system.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is not going to pick up in the coming years a new African elephant to Australia. The zoo focuses initially on the breeding of Asian elephants. There would only worldwide tens of thousands of wild life.
