Last male northern white rhino dead

NANYUKI (ANP)- The last male northern white rhinoceros is dead. The nature organization Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya has announced that Tuesday. The survival of the animal species thus depends on a silk thread and has now become entirely dependent on test tube fertilization.

The 45-year-old rhinoceros Sudan was treated to age-related disorders, but his situation worsened this week. The nature organization therefore decided to deliver him from his suffering and put an end to his life.

There are still two female northern white rhinos left. Sudan's daughter Najin and her daughter Fatu. Both animals live in Ol Pejeta.
