Last 7,000 migrants picked out of the sea

rome - Over the past few days, around 7000 migrants from the Mediterranean Sea have been saved. Already on Friday, the shipwreck Diciotti shipwrecked nearly 1500 rescued refugees to the port of Catania in Sicily, reported ANSA press agency.

Also for private aid organizations, in recent days, many migrants had made their way from Libya to Europe. A MSF ship arrived with nearly nine hundred people in Italy, including a number of babies. The Italian Coast Guard released a video of a dramatic rescue of refugees on the Mediterranean Sea on Friday. This shows how the migrants jump into the water in panic of a wooden boat last Wednesday.

According to the International Organization for Migration, more than 2300 people came across their lives over the Mediterranean. Most migrants come in Italy.
