Large jewelery robbery at Hotel Ritz Paris

paris - In a raid on the luxurious Hotel Ritz in the center of Paris, an estimated 4.5 million euros worth of jewels and other valuables were captured on Wednesday evening. Five armed men rushed into the hall of the hotel and threw themselves with one or more axes on display cases where the valuables were displayed, French media reported.

Three robbers could be packed with 'tasers' by a police patrol near the hotel on the Place Vendôme. The other two are fleeing with the booty. The three arrested robbers are acquaintances of the Paris police, because they were previously involved in raids on jewelers.
