KPN is rolling long distance network accelerated

- KPN is speeding up the roll out of the network for the connection of devices to the Internet, the so-called Internet of things. The tech and telecom company said that due to high demand the Long range' network (Lora) in the second quarter of 2016 will provide national coverage.

The LORA network, now only in The Hague and Rotterdam active, is complementary to the existing networks. It offers users the advantage of an inexpensive connection, which consumes little energy. This is suitable for many devices that only need to send a little message to users. KPN thereby used the example of refuse containers which give a signal when they are full.
