KPN and Samsung settle patent dispute

- Telecom company KPN and the South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung have a patent dispute suitable. That turned out Tuesday in court documents.

Financial details of the settlement are not known. KPN end of 2014 Samsung sued in the United States due to the unauthorized use of patented technology. Samsung would be smartphones, including the Galaxy S4 and S5, use technology for data which KPN has patent.

Samsung declined to comment. KPN confirmed the settlement but did not give any specific information.

The two companies had previously negotiated for two years on a licensing agreement, but to no avail. KPN made therefore brought proceedings in a federal court in Marshall, in the US state of Texas.
