pristina - The Government of Kosovo to the European Union to put pressure on Serbia to the international arrest warrants against some twenty former Kosovo guerrillas, mostly members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) to lift. Wednesday was Ramush Haradinaj, former prime minister of Kosovo in France arrested on the basis of a Serbian arrest warrant in 2004.

Serbia considers Haradinaj, who was a key guerrilla commander during the uprising of 1998, as a war criminal. However, the Yugoslavia Tribunal in The Hague spoke to him in the past, twice free.

The government in Pristina, capital threatens to halt talks with Serbia on normalization of the atmosphere between the two countries. However, these calls are a condition of the European Union, because both countries want to become members of the EU. Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić will visit Kosovo Friday, the eve of Orthodox Christmas. That visit is now threatening not to go.

Serbia has already announced not to withdraw the extradition request by Haradinaj.
