Six Turkish soldiers and two members of an allied village militia lost their lives by fighting at the border in southeastern Turkey, announced the army. Five PKK warriors also did not survive.
After the fighting at the border, the army was looking for other armed PKK fans. Fighter aircraft later fought other Kurdish warriors who wanted to cross the border. As a result, another twelve killed. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said another five PKK warriors were killed in the province of Tunceli.
