Keyboardcat YouTube died

- Bento the 'keyboard cat' is no longer. The cat, which became world-famous through YouTube videos, passed away on Thursday, March 8. That made his owner known last weekend. The cat was nine years old.

Although Bento is known as the keyboard cat, he was not the first. A video from 1984 with the then cat of Charlie Schmidt from Spokane, located in the US state of Washington, called Fatso was the first.

When the first keyboard cat movies went viral, Fatso had already died. Schmidt decided to take a new cat out of the shelter and that became Bento. Since 2009 Bento has been shown in all keyboard cat movies.
