World May 21, 2018 19:12

london - The former mayor of London Ken Livingstone leaves the Labor Party, reports the BBC. He has been suspended for two years by the party after accusations of anti-Semitism. Livingstone now says that he still does not accept those accusations against him, but that the attention to this case does not do the party any good.

Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn called the decision of Livingstone sad, but 'the right thing to do. '

In 2016, Labor Livingstone suspended after having said in an interview with the BBC that Adolf Hitler in 1932 advocated a move of Jews to the area that would later become Israel. According to Livingstone, Hitler supported Zionism before he turned and finally killed 6 million Jews.
