Keith Emerson (71) deceased

- Keyboardist Keith Emerson, co-founder of the rock band Emerson, Lake and Palmer is deceased.

That US media reported Friday. The Briton Emerson died at the age of 71 at his home in the US Santa Monica.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer scored in the seventies a worldwide hit with the song Lucky Man.

Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer met at Fillmore West in San Francisco each other in 1969. The following year, she formed the rock band for their set. Their first album was an instant success, partly because of the song Lucky Man distracted them. In the late seventies had the trio still a big hit with the live set Peter Gunn. Around that time, the group was split.

Emerson made several soundtracks for films and television.
