pyongyang - South Korean artists will spend a four-day visit to Pyongyang, North Korea, on March 31, to improve the relationship between the two countries.

During the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, North Korea performed artists from their own country. After a conversation between the two parties on Tuesday, Seoul sends more than 150 artists, including K-pop stars, to the northern country as a gesture of good will.

On March 31, the worldwide popular group Red Velvet, singer Cho Yong-pill and singer Lee Sun-hee will leave for Pyongyang. Cho Yong pill (68) is seen as one of the most influential people in Korean pop music. Lee Sun-hee (53) is considered one of the most successful and talented female singers in the country.

Cho also performed in Pyeongyang in 2005; the last time South Korean artists performed in North Korea.

Producer Yoon Sang, who represented South Korea at the meeting Tuesday, says: 'When we are on stage, it becomes difficult to express our personal feelings about denuclearization. Our first task is to bring the same awe to the North Korean public as to our South Korean target groups. '

The artists perform two shows: one in the Ryugyong Chung Ju-yung Gymnasiom and one in the East Pyongyang Grand Theater. South Korea is examining the two locations from 22 to 24 March to ensure that these are suitable for their artists, confirms the ministry.
