'Jurist Witte Huis spoke with Mueller thirty hours'

washington - A top lawyer employed by US President Donald Trump has spoken extensively with special prosecutor Robert Mueller in recent months. Donald F. McGahn did this voluntarily and with the knowledge of the president.

According to the New York Times, McGahn has provided information to the Mueller team about 'possible impediment to justice' by the White House. The lawyer also provided information about the state of affairs surrounding the dismissal of former FBI boss James Comey.

Although Trump knew of the discussions, it is not known how the president thinks about the willingness of his top lawyer to speak so extensively with Mueller.

Spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee of the White House told the newspaper: 'The president and McGahn have an excellent relationship, he (Trump, ed.) Appreciates all the hard work he has done, in particular his help and expertise with the judges and the Supreme Court. '
