The Venezuelan ruler President Nicolás Maduro has threatened to have him arrested. According to Guaidó, this can lead to very violent reactions in Venezuela and in many countries around the world. Guaidó would have violated the law because he is already running a case and therefore he was not allowed to leave the country. He did that February 21 anyway and went to his own words with the help of Venezuelan soldiers to a large manifestation of opponents of Maduro in Colombia.
