- An American journalist and activist was shot while she held an interview with a man protesting against a controversial oil pipeline project in the US state of North Dakota. She filmed the incident itself.

The pipeline has to transport oil from North Dakota to Illinois is leading to strong protests from the original tribes in the area. According to the Sioux Indians destroyed the pipeline pollutes groundwater and cultural heritage.
