tokio - A Japanese train company apologized because one of its trains did not leave on time on Thursday. Instead of 09.44.40 local time, the train left at 09.44.20. No less than 20 seconds too early.

Apparently, the staff on the Tsukuba Express line between Tokyo and Tsubuka did not pay attention because the departure time had not been checked. The management of the company offers her 'humble apologies'.

The company said that nobody had complained about the early departure from Minami Nagareyama Station, which is in the north of Tokyo.

The Japanese train system is known as one of the most reliable in the world. It is striking when a train departs too late or too early.
