tokio - A Japanese woman who spent three lovers for life, can be executed. The Tokyo High Court rejected the appeal of the 'black widow', the BBC reported Friday.

The 42-year-old murderess Kanae Kijima met her victims over the internet. She gave the men of 41, 53 and 80 sleeping pills and poisoned them with carbon monoxide. Kijima all murders committed in a period of eight months in 2009.

Prosecutors argued that the woman had a financial motive for the killings. She would have killed the men so they borrowed money did not have to repay. The case could count on huge interest. More than a thousand people wanted to attend at the time the original verdict.

It is still unclear if the woman is suspended. The celebration of a judgment may have been delayed for years, according to the BBC. Kijima is meanwhile still not in jail. She keeps a blog and has been since her arrest married twice.
