kings langley - A 53-year-old lottery winner has been charged with fraud. The man won 2.5 million pounds from the national lottery with a fake fate. For three years, fraud investigators scrutinized the inhabitant of English Kings Langley.

Research showed that the price was paid by the St. James Bank even though the barcode of the lot did not work, according to Metro. This bank was recommended to winners by national lottery Camelot.

If Edward Putman is found guilty by the court, there is a chance that he will have to pay back the complete seven-digit amount.

In 2015 the research on the lottery winner was opened. This showed that the suspect may not have acted alone and received help from a Camelot employee. This help, known under the name Giles Knibbs, printed the nepticket from the main office of the lottery. He could go in there 24 hours a day. After it became known that Knibbs was involved in the alleged fraud, he committed suicide.

Jackpot winner Putman has to answer in court on 16 October. Until then, he was released on bail. The victory of Putman was previously discredited after it turned out that he had been convicted of rape and regularly cheated with his benefits.
