Italian M5S party wants new elections

rome - The leader of the Italian Five Star Movement (M5S) has called for new elections in June. 'I see no other solution at this point. We have to go back to the polls as soon as possible, 'wrote M5S leader Luigi Di Maio on Facebook.

Italy still has no prospect of a new government nearly two months after the elections. The Eurosceptic Five Star movement became the largest party, but an association of center right and the right-wing populist Lega won more seats.

Di Maio called on the leader of the Lega, Matteo Salvini, to support his call for new elections.
