Israeli stabbed in Old City

jerusalem - An Israeli was stabbed in the Old City of Jerusalem on Sunday and was badly wounded. The attacker was shot dead by a security officer. The incident happened at the entrance to the Temple Mount.

A counselor told the Haaretz newspaper that the victim, a thirty-something, had injuries in his upper body. He is in a critical condition in the hospital.

The attack came two days after two Israeli soldiers died in the West Bank because someone drove them in with a car. The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas stated that this action had been carried out to remind the people that the American President Donald Trump had recognized Jerusalem exactly one hundred days ago as the capital of Israel.
