'Israel kills senior commander Hezbollah '

- A senior commander of the radical Shiite Hezbollah movement is slain at the border between Lebanon and Syria. This was done according to a Lebanese television channel in an Israeli airstrike.

Hezbollah acted Friday itself out with the news about the death of the commander. Badreddine,, participated in most operations of the Islamic resistance since 1982, 'reported the move in a statement. The commander would be slain Tuesday.

The Hariri tribunal in Leidschendam Lebanon early in 2011 for the extradition of Badreddine. He was suspected of involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri in 2005. Badreddine had previously been sentenced to death in Kuwait for his involvement in the bombings, but was able to escape.
